Experience and Certifications
Somatic Experiencing® (SE)
A gentle, body-based approach to healing trauma, rooted in the understanding that our nervous system holds the imprint of everything we've lived through—especially what we couldn't fully process or complete at the time. As a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), I draw on this powerful modality to help clients restore a sense of safety, capacity, and connection in their bodies.
SE isn’t about retelling traumatic stories—it's about learning to listen to the body’s wisdom. By following subtle sensations, movements, and impulses, we create space for the body to complete unfinished survival responses and move toward greater regulation and resilience.
As part of my intensive 3-year training to become an SEP, I’ve also studied the use of therapeutic touch in Somatic Experiencing. Touch work can be a profound support for clients whose systems respond more readily to non-verbal, embodied presence. With deep respect and consent, I may offer light, attuned touch to help regulate the nervous system, bring awareness to specific areas of the body, and support integration when words are not enough. This touch is never directive—it's collaborative, invitational, and grounded in the sacredness of your body’s innate healing intelligence.
Whether we work with or without touch, SE offers a compassionate path back to wholeness—one that honors both the nervous system and the soul.
Certified Sex Therapist
I support individuals and couples in exploring their sexuality with compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for the complexity of the human experience. My training through the Modern Sex Therapy Institute included over 150 hours of specialized education in sexuality, gender, intimacy, and relational dynamics, as well as 18 months of intensive clinical supervision with seasoned sex therapy supervisors.
This work is not just about sex—it's about relationship to self, body, pleasure, identity, boundaries, and connection. It often involves unlearning cultural shame, healing wounds from trauma or religious conditioning, and reclaiming your birthright to embodied pleasure and authentic intimacy.
I bring this lens into all of my work, integrating sex therapy with somatic practices, depth psychology, and trauma healing to support your whole self—mind, body, heart, and spirit.
